The Wits Paediatric Fund (WPF) is a registered  non profit organisation that raises money for difficult-to-fund items for the children’s wards of the academic hospitals with paediatric units associated with the University of the Witwatersrand. ​

WPF was started in 2004, and for nearly 2 decades we have been helping the childnre of Johannesburg.

Prof Ashraf Coovadia, current Head of Department for Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of the Witwatersrand and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, is the current chair of the WPF.

Previous chairs are Prof Daynia Ballot (2004 - 2019) and Prof Jennifer Geel (2019 - 2022)
