Paediatric Out Patient Department at Rahima Moosa

Each day at the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Outpatient clinic, we see and treat an average of 60-80 children with a wide range of pathologies, from urgent cases requiring immediate intervention to those managed as uncomplicated outpatients. Our clinic serves a vast area in Gauteng, providing essential medical care to children under the age of 14 years.

Our primary goal is not only to provide the best possible medical care but also to create a positive and comforting environment for our young patients. Many of these children come from under-resourced areas, and they often have very little. We strive to make their hospital visits as pleasant as possible, offering them a ray of happiness during what can be a daunting experience. Our dedicated team is committed to treating these children with gentleness and kindness, ensuring they receive the utmost care in a warm and safe setting.

Our current facility requires a facelift with new chairs and desks and a fresh coat of paint for the benefit of staff and patients. The hospital is unable to allocate funds for these necessary improvements during this financial year because of other equally pressing priorities. This year is the 80th year of existence of this fine facility, and it is in need of a facelift.

We humbly appeal for your sponsorship to help us transform our facility into a bright and cheerful space. Our primary objective is to paint the walls with vibrant colours that will uplift the spirits of our young patients. Additionally, we aim to create a safe and joyful waiting area, where children can play and engage in stimulating activities while awaiting their appointments.
