Thank you!

Many of our donors are anonymous, but not all are. Here we would like to give recognition to some donors who have helped us achieving our goals, or amazing organisations that we collaborate with that facilitate fundraising (and honestly, do most of the hard work).

The Wits Paediatric Fund cannot help the sick children of Johannesburg without donors, whether anonymous or not. We appreciate every cent and penny!

Donor: Remembering Ann

The Remembering Ann: Rested Moms Fundraiser was launched in December 2022 to help assist the Rested Mothers project at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital through the Giving Movement. The Remembering Ann fundraiser was a collaborative project for the late Lela Bisnauth, a mother or as most know her, Ann- the school supervisor at Ellesmere Statton Public School, Canada. She worked for 35 years caring for children and had a special way of taking care of everyone before herself. She touched so many lives, regaled by the stories of her warmth and hospitality- her legacy will continue vicariously through us and our actions, a beacon and reminder of good. Ann never made it to South Africa because of her health but we would like to honour her by leaving her mark at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital (RMMCH), your public pediatric hospital in South Africa.

Remembering Ann assisted the Rested Mothers project aim to change all of this, by ensuring that all mothers in the four pediatric wards that require such seats that convert to beds will have access to them. The funds donated to the Rested Mothers project was for the purpose of purchasing more seats/bench and also re-upholstering the old ones that required this due to wear and tear, and plaques all marked in honour of Ann and her love for children.
